Patti Fenner, Susan Sridharan and Don Pike of Friends of the Tonto met on 10/18/2022 with the grants administration staff from the Department of Forestry and Fire Management to review details for the recently awarded Healthy Forest Initiative grant. Both the Usery Mountain and Superstition Mountain project areas were visited. The formalized contract completion is expected in late November, at which time the mapping, monitoring and removal events will be scheduled.
