A group of high school students and chaperones, volunteers from Exeter, NH, joined the Desert Defenders for a special removal event in the Superstition Mountains. Leaving from the Massacre Grounds TH, the group hiked up the trail to a large patch of buffelgrass, which was completely removed. When it started raining, the group hiked back to a wash near the TH and removed some fountain grass while waiting for the shuttle.
